SOLD 3 French Magazines + Inspirations * £12 €35 $70 Shipping Included (Heavy Items)

The 4 magazines on offer are in mint condition and have been collected very carefully over many years.
the downside is that they are heavier than books for shipping!
However, they are rich resources for understanding stitching and stitching networks in other countries
as well as being delightful to read
Inspirations has some wonderful diagrams for taking you through a whole range of beautiful stitches in easy stages
and has a middle section (untouched and pristine) of pull-out charts.
De Fil en Aiguille is one of the premiere French stitching magazines which has a number of projects and articles on stitching themes.
There are also charts and patterns that are useful for any number of projects.
Of course, the other problem is that they are in French. Having said that, the upside is that they are probably the best needlework magazines in the world in term of their coverage and patterns. This magazine has a wonderful article on embroideries from Alsace.

Mulhouse is the famous home to DMC and famous printed cotton museum - below you can see an article on lace.

and the distinctive red and white straight stitch storytelling designs. All in all this is an Aladdin's cave of inspiration and patterns.
Ouvrages Broderie is another beautiful French magazine
which features a wider range of stitching projects than De Fil en Aiguille.
This magazine has a wonderful article on the Alsace Folk Museum in Strasbourg featuring their distinct costumes and embroideries and a rather nice sampler!
